Jags Aviation, a Guyanese operator within the BK Group of Companies, is taking delivery of two Tecnam P2012 Traveller aircraft in August 2025. One is currently being exhibited at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, with both configured to switch between passenger and medevac roles.

The aircraft will be deployed across Guyana’s tropical highlands, where demanding weather conditions and rugged terrain present daily operational challenges. Tecnam’s P2012 was selected for its robustness, flexibility and low cost of operation.

“We are excited to partner with Jags Aviation Inc. in its mission to transform regional air connectivity in Guyana,” says Tecnam’s Francesco Sferra. “The P2012 Traveller is perfectly suited to meet the diverse and demanding operational needs of Guyana.”

Jags’ executive chairman Brian Tiwarie sees this move as part of a wider modernisation drive: “Tecnam is bringing modern concepts and enhanced safety aspects to the aviation world and particularly to Guyana, which has long operated in a very limited capacity and 'Jurassic' era.” He says further aircraft may follow in 2026.

Jags Aviation is also developing local capacity as it pursues approvals to become both an ATO and FTO.
