Cerulean General Aviation, the airport-operated FBO at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) in South Carolina, has officially opened its renovated and expanded terminal. The renovation adds nearly 8,000 square feet to the facility, bringing the total space to over 12,700 square feet.
The updated terminal features a modernised interior and exterior, an expanded lobby and customer service area, upgraded restrooms and new amenities for both passengers and flight crews. Inside, guests have access to a refreshment bar with complimentary snacks and beverages, modern lounge seating, private seating areas, conference rooms and a pilot lounge with quiet rooms and showers.
The outside includes a new vehicle canopy for covered access, along with new air locks at both entrances to improve climate control. Utility upgrades and a redesigned parking layout were also completed.
“We launched Cerulean Aviation in 2016 with the goal of providing personalised, world-class ground support and fuelling services for both general and corporate aviation customers,” says Dave Edwards, president and CEO of the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District. “This renovation is part of our commitment to delivering the highest level of service to all who pass through our FBO.”
Construction began in April 2024 and Cerulean started operations from the new terminal in June 2025. The project was designed by McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture and built by Harper General Contractors, both based in Greenville.
Cerulean supports 35 hangar-based aircraft and handles over 9,000 towing operations annually. Fuel volumes have grown from 600,000 gallons in 2016 to over 2.2 million gallons in 2024. The company currently manages 131,000 square feet of hangar space and plans to complete a new 35,000 square-foot hangar by autumn 2026.
