High Flying Hangars has secured 40 acres of development rights at Boulder City Municipal Airport in Nevada, following its response to the city’s request for proposals. Plans include constructing a range of hangars from 40 to 120 feet wide and a multi-use clubhouse for aircraft owners.
Designs are still in development as the company works with city officials on a long-term lease. SVP of sales and marketing Lisa deFrees says: “The total acreage we have to work with at BVU allows us to build a large number of hangars in a wide range of sizes to support the growing needs of local aircraft owners.”
The site sits 13nm east of Henderson Executive and 16nm southeast of Harry Reid International, serving the wider Las Vegas metro area. Boulder City expects the project to increase fuel sales and general revenue, while also drawing more visitors to the town and nearby Hoover Dam.
High Flying Hangars CEO Kenny Hinkes adds: “The Las Vegas metroplex will surely find in BVU the land, vision and leadership to provide the community with much needed high-quality hangars for the owner-flown category of aircraft.”
