Milan Bergamo airport has inaugurated its new dedicated facility for general aviation under the BGY Executive brand, offering an exclusive and fully independent experience for private aviation clients.
Located in the northern part of the airport, near Customs Gate 2, the terminal provides separate road access, bespoke services and streamlined airport procedures distinct from the commercial passenger terminal. The BGY Executive terminal is fully equipped to handle all operational procedures for private flight arrivals and departures, including on-site passport control and customs clearance.
The ground floor manages all arrival and departure processes for passengers, pilots and crew in cooperation with national authorities, including ENAC, the Border Police, Guardia di Finanza and the Customs and Monopolies Agency.
The first floor hosts two premium lounges operated by leading fixed-base operators Italy FBO (Delta Aerotaxi) and Skyservices, both recognised for their extensive experience and presence across Italian airports. These lounges are designed to provide private aviation passengers and crew with a high level of comfort and discretion.
The creation of BGY Executive reflects Milan Bergamo Airport’s commitment to meeting the growing demand in the general aviation sector, driven by the region’s dynamic industrial landscape and its popularity for high-end tourism, fashion, business and culinary events.
Giacomo Cattaneo, director of commercial aviation, SACBO, says: “We are proud to unveil a facility dedicated entirely to general aviation, enhancing our airport’s service offering and reinforcing its strategic role in the region. With BGY Executive, we are providing a premium, standalone terminal for private flights, supported by experienced FBOs and full collaboration from all state authorities. The growth in general aviation traffic, including long-haul routes, underlines Milan Bergamo’s position as a key logistical gateway.”
The new terminal has been presented to key industry players, including private operators, brokers, aircraft management firms and dispatchers, marking a new chapter in the airport’s expansion into the premium aviation market.
