High Flying Hangars has received City of Denton approval for a 40-year lease to build a 44 unit hangar development at Denton Enterprise Airport (KDTO) in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area in Texas.
The $21 million project will offer over 110,000 square feet of hangar space for general and business aviation aircraft. Each unit will have city-provided electricity, water and sewerage, with additional amenities depending on hangar size and buyer preferences.
Mayor Gerard Hudspeth said: “With over 110,000 square feet of hangar space, the High Flying Hangars development will bring a much-needed resource to our aviation community and support the growth of the Denton economy. We are thrilled to have it invest in Denton Enterprise Airport.”
High Flying Hangars CEO Kenny Hinkes added: “We are so pleased to partner with the City of Denton and the team at Denton Enterprise Airport to build our first hangar development in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan market. We're committed to serving the rapidly growing needs of aircraft owners. We understand what they desire most in a private hangar, as long-time aviators and developers.”
Construction is expected to begin before the end of 2025, with units available to owners in 2026.
