Wheels Up aligns leadership roles with evolving sales strategy

Expanded responsibilities and structural changes have consolidated global sales, marketing and growth under three existing executives to strengthen commercial focus.

US-based charter operator Wheels Up has made several key leadership changes. Mark Briffa has been promoted to chief sales officer, unifying global sales across the company's membership and charter services. Meaghan Wells has taken on the newly created role of chief growth officer, overseeing a commercial strategy group that integrates revenue management, product and competitive planning. Kristen Lauria, currently chief marketing officer, will now also lead customer experience, a key focus as the company pursues its fleet modernisation plan.

Chief executive officer George Mattson says the leadership changes are “a natural next step in our transformation journey”. He adds: “As we continue to focus our customer-centric strategy around the goal of seamlessly delivering the broadest and most accessible suite of global aviation solutions across our programmatic on fleet and global charter offerings, all aligned with our first-of-its-kind strategic partnership with Delta Air Lines, we expect these organisational changes will help drive our commercial success in the marketplace and long-term growth.”

Chief commercial officer Dave Harvey has also stepped into a senior advisor role through August 2025. Mattson says: “We are grateful to Dave for his significant contributions in shaping and executing our commercial strategy and we thank him for his leadership during a pivotal phase of our transformation.”
