Igneo Infrastructure Partners has acquired Infinity Aviation Group, a fixed base operator based at Boire Field in Nashua, New Hampshire. The acquisition includes hangars, line services and fuelling operations at the airport, located 50 miles from Boston.
Infinity provides general aviation, business and air cargo services across the United States. With the backing of Igneo, it will focus on acquiring and developing FBOs and aircraft hangars. Steven Levesque has been named chief executive officer. He was formerly principal of Global Aviation Infrastructure and has led other FBO operators including Leading Edge Jet Centers and Hawthorne Global Aviation Services.
“The U.S. general aviation market is experiencing strong growth, and we plan to leverage Igneo’s vast global experience investing in high-quality middle-market transportation infrastructure through a differentiated platform,” says John Ma, partner and co-head of Igneo in North America.
Levesque adds: “We are thrilled to partner with Igneo to support our strategic goals, including investment in and expansion of the Infinity Aviation platform.”
Mark Perryman, president and CEO of Norfolk Airport Authority and former CEO of Landrum & Brown, has also joined the company as an independent board member. “I am honoured and excited to be joining Infinity Aviation’s board with the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team to help drive growth, support airport communities and create value as we meet the growing needs of private aviation,” he says.
The deal is Igneo’s first investment in the North American aviation sector and its eighth global investment in transport and logistics. It is also the first from its North American infrastructure strategy.
