Wyvern bestows Wingman Operator status on Schubach

Southern Californian private jet operator Schubach Aviation has earned Wyvern Wingman Operator status through the Flight Leader Program, enhanced by quarterly coaching from Wyvern. Recognised as the first audit standard in the air charter industry, the Wyvern Wingman standard establishes a critical safety benchmark, enabling customers to evaluate and compare service providers based on industry-leading operating practices before making informed decisions.

“Our latest successful safety audit and new designation as a Wyvern Wingman operator reflects the company's promise to put safety first and take measures involving additional time and financial commitments beyond FAA regulation and approvals to give our customers peace of mind in knowing they are with an operator that walks the walk when it comes to safety,” says Kimberly Herrell, president and CEO.

The globally recognised Wyvern Wingman standard provides a safety benchmark that allows customers to assess performance expectations against recognised industry best practices before purchasing services. The scope of the evaluation includes a review and assessment of the organisation's compliance management system, internal evaluation programme, safety management system, human factors management, safety culture analysis, risk management policies, procedures and practices, emergency response plans and training programmes.

Schubach Aviation's Wyvern Wingman Operator certification distinguishes it as a leader in the air charter industry. This milestone affirms its dedication to fostering a robust and lasting safety culture, setting it apart from operators that are only beginning to recognise the importance of formal safety risk management,” says Andrew Day, Wyvern senior vice president, operators. “By consistently exceeding industry safety standards, Schubach Aviation demonstrates a profound commitment to protecting its clients and ensuring excellence in every flight.”
