Robert Suarez of Duncan Aviation has been recognised as a certified aircraft sales broker by the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA). He joins team members Doug Roth, Ann Pollard, Rene Cardona and Leah Alexander in holding the qualification.
Duncan Aviation has been a founding member of IADA since 1991, when a group of eight US dealers created the body to promote high standards in the buying and selling of aircraft. Only 7% of dealers worldwide are accredited by IADA, though they are involved in 40% of global pre-owned aircraft transactions.
Suarez said, “To be recognised as an IADA certified broker further reinforces Duncan Aviation's reputation in the business aviation industry, not just as a leading MRO provider, but also as a respected aircraft sales and acquisitions dealer. It's important that our clients know we are a founding member of IADA and that all of our brokers are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in the brokerage community.”
He added, “This certification test holds special meaning for me because it highlights the incredible teamwork behind every transaction. From our service sales representatives and OEM technical advisors to the technicians who work on a wide range of aircraft models, our internal flight department, legal and general counsel, and our accounting and credit teams, each plays a vital role. I feel truly fortunate to work alongside more than 3,000 dedicated Duncan Aviation colleagues, all united by a shared commitment to delivering exceptional results to both our new and long-standing clients.”
Certified brokers must pass a rigorous test and be verified independently, and accredited dealers are required to engage in ongoing education to maintain their standing.
Suarez became a full-time member of Duncan Aviation’s sales and acquisitions team in 2023. He earned his Private Pilot’s Licence in 2019, is IFR rated and is working toward both his Commercial and Seaplane ratings.
