SEA Prime reports more movements in north Italy
SEA Prime’s vision at Linate and Malpensa stays focused on sustainable growth, innovation and improving the quality of service while continuing to look ahead to the major events planned in Milan for 2026.

SEA Prime, a SEA Group company and manager of the business and general aviation infrastructure at Milan's Linate and Malpensa airports under the Milano Prime brand, participated as an exhibitor at EBACE 2025 in Geneva, showcasing its latest developments.

In 2024 SEA Prime recorded around 34,400 movements, up from 33,900 in the previous year, with a three per cent increase in aircraft tonnage handled compared to 2023. The first few months of 2025 also saw an increase in movements, particularly at Linate Prime, which achieved a 4.3 per cent growth, boosted by the visitors who came to Milan over the Milan Design Week, during which, thanks to the widespread events organised in the city, 858 business aviation movements were recorded between Linate and Malpensa Prime, with a daily average of 123 and peaks of 152 movements.

SEA Prime’s vision stays focused on sustainable growth, innovation and improving the quality of service while continuing to look ahead to the major events planned in Milan for 2026. With that aim, construction works continue for the expansion of the Linate Prime terminal and parking areas; the works entail an extension of about 2,000 sqm of the terminal surface area, which will be added to the current 600 sqm dedicated to passengers, with the aim of improving the customer experience, expanding lounge spaces and offering increasingly efficient services in preparation for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The project, which takes a regeneration-oriented approach to existing infrastructures, places comfort, quality and functionality at its heart.

Confirming its commitment to environmentally-conscious business aviation, SEA Prime participated in Rome on 20th May 2025 in the meeting ‘The Key Role of e-fuel and Bio-fuel in the Energy Transition’, sponsored by ENEA and the Polytechnic as part of the Operational Research Plan (ROP) on Hydrogen. The event aimed to foster dialogue on research activities, demonstration production facilities, end users and regulation of the sector. SEA Prime presented its projects, experiences and vision on the use of bio-fuels and e-fuels for aviation. In 2024 SEA Prime introduced the first contribution programme dedicated to the use of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) at Linate and Malpensa Prime airports. The plan provided for a contribution of 1,000 euros for each ton of pure and certified SAF pumped. The funds for the 2024 SAF support programme have been fully allocated, confirming the positive response from operators and the growing commitment in the direction of sustainable aviation.

SEA Prime stands by its customers by offering tailored solutions and infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the industry,” says Chiara Dorigotti, CEO of SEA Prime. “The numbers recorded confirm the important role of Milano Prime within the Milan airport system as a gateway for international buyers and visitors to Milan's main events.”
