Gogo gains PMA for Galileo FDX antenna across larger jets
Dealers are moving forward with STC generation after the device's FAA approval, positioning Gogo to begin full-scale production and sales of its electronically steered antenna.
The Galileo FDX is designed for aircraft with multiple passengers using multiple devices at once.

Gogo has received parts manufacturer approval from the FAA for its Galileo FDX antenna. With PMA granted, Gogo’s global dealer network has begun generating STCs for super-midsize and larger aircraft, moving the company closer to production and sales of the ESA.

Purpose-built for business aviation, the electronically steered antenna uses the Eutelsat OneWeb LEO satellite constellation to deliver cabin-wide broadband of up to 195Mbps down and 32Mbps up. It is designed for easy installation and supports multiple users and devices through a simple connection to the Gogo Avance system.

PMA for the FDX comes shortly after approval was granted for Gogo’s HDX antenna. Both can be linefit or retrofitted for business, VVIP, government and military aircraft. The FDX is software-driven, allows quick satellite switching and maintains uninterrupted service with minimal installation downtime.

Chris Moore, CEO of Gogo, says: “With this Gogo Galileo FDX PMA approval, we are demonstrating our continuing commitment to opening up a new world of connectivity for more aircraft owners and operators than ever before. With the addition of the FDX to our portfolio of agnostic connectivity solutions, we can deliver consistent global connectivity that satisfies the diverse needs of the dynamic business aviation sector.”

Commercial service is expected to launch in late 2025.
