Bell Training Academy has expanded its technical training offering in Valencia, Spain, to provide more options for global customers, especially those in the EMEA regions. Two Bell 429-focused maintenance programmes previously offered in Fort Worth, Texas, are now available at the European facility.
The Bell 429 field maintenance course covers classroom and practical training using a dedicated 429 airframe. Topics include ground handling, powerplant installation and rigging, flight controls, hydraulics and electrical systems. Approved by EASA, GCAA, DGCA and UK CAA, it qualifies engineers through both theoretical and hands-on learning. Courses will run from 7 July to 1 August and from 6 to 31 October 2025.
The Bell 429 integrated avionics course covers the aircraft’s avionics, electrical and AFCS systems. This course is also approved by the same regulators and will run from 6 to 29 August 2025. Both four-week programmes require technicians to take written exams in English only, without interpreters or digital translators.
General manager Chad Sparks says: “We’re always thrilled when we can offer new technical programmes as it ensures we’re guaranteed to be delivering the most up-to-date information and training. And to be able to run them out of our state-of-the-art training academy in Valencia is the perfect setting.”
He adds: “Our goal when we bring customers into our BTA Fort Worth, Singapore and Valencia sites is to help them get the most out of their 429 training, mastering effective maintenance for Bell platforms to keep our customers on their missions.”
The Valencia site already welcomes over 300 pilots each year and features a Bell 429 Level D simulator, which has logged more than 1,600 flying hours.
