Web Manuals achieves SOC 2 status
SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls 2) compliance demonstrates the company’s commitment to rigorous security practices, internal controls and transparent operations.
CEO and founder Martin Lidgard said achieving SOC 2 marks a significant step forward.

Digital documentation solutions developer for the aviation industry Web Manuals has attained SOC 2 status, reinforcing its commitment to the security, availability and confidentiality of customer data.

Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, SOC 2 is a security and compliance framework designed to evaluate how service providers securely manage data to protect the interests of their clients. As a SOC 2 organisation, Web Manuals assures its more than 700 customers, which include airlines, operators, training organisations and MROs, that their data is managed in a secure, compliant and reliable environment.

“While we have long upheld robust security through our information security management system and ISO 27001 certification, achieving SOC 2 marks a significant step forward,” says Web Manuals CEO and founder Martin Lidgard. “Compliance is voluntary, but we felt it important to show our proactive approach to data protection. As one of the first in our field to achieve SOC 2 compliance, we’re setting a new benchmark for aviation technology. This achievement is not just about compliance today; it’s about continuing to lead with trust, transparency, and the highest standards of data protection as the industry evolves.”

The audit was conducted by A-LIGN Assurance, Inc., which evaluated Web Manuals across the three trust services criteria of security, availability and integrity to ensure robust protection of customer data.
