Planet Nine Private Air, a Van Nuys-headquartered private jet management company and operator, is reporting a 50 per cent reduction in owner billing time compared to previous software use, thanks to its long-standing partnership with MySky.
Since adopting MySky’s technology in 2021, Planet Nine has streamlined its financial workflows, eliminated time-consuming manual reconciliations and enhanced overall financial efficiency. The platform empowers the Planet Nine team to analyse spending patterns, negotiate improved vendor contracts and identify cost-saving opportunities.
With over 400,000 financial documents digitised and 6,292 reports released to owners in 2024, MySky Spend has played a crucial role in helping private aviation operators improve transparency and optimise spending.
Karen Reiff, CFO at Planet Nine, says: “MySky has been a tremendous partner in enhancing our financial operations. In an age of mass data and technology, a shift to MySky has allowed us to maintain our data within one source.”
With automated reporting, Planet Nine generates owner billing packets significantly faster, reducing manual effort and improving cash flow by approximately two weeks.
Reiff continues: “The ability to automate approvals for common expense submissions has completely transformed our processes. It makes it much simpler for crew members to submit expenses on the road via the app on their phone or iPad.”
Jean De Looz, head of Americas, MySky, notes: “Spend management doesn't need to be painful, and our partnership with Planet Nine is a perfect example of how transparency and efficiency can go hand in hand. We work closely to speed up financial processes and remove friction, allowing the Planet Nine team to focus on delivering high-quality service to private jet owners and family offices, while setting a benchmark for efficiency among aircraft operators and management companies.
“Planet Nine is one of the most forward-thinking companies in the industry today, and we're proud to support its continued success.”
