Response launches Career Navigator to guide Part 91 pilot job transitions
Coaching, resume help and interview preparation have been introduced as part of a structured service to support business aviation professionals.

Response Aviation Search has launched a coaching and advisory programme for business aviation pilots. Career Navigator is designed to support candidates through career transitions by offering coaching, resume support and job search strategies tailored to the private aviation sector.

The service includes four tiers: a $199 strategy session, a $249 resume tune-up, a $499 interview prep package and a $1,499 full-service option. Each tier is aimed at helping pilots clarify goals, improve application materials and stand out to hiring managers.

The move comes as private aviation faces growing hiring pressure. The NBAA estimates there are 10,000 to 15,000 Part 91 flight departments in the US, while global projections show a shortage of 80,000 pilots by 2032 due to retirements and rising demand.

Response Aviation Search president Andrew Gutterman says: “Response isn't about checking boxes. We're about understanding the people behind the resume and the long-term vision behind each hire.”

Flight department consultant Neil Capano has joined as a West Coast envoy to support in-person outreach. He adds: “The job board is an archaic tool for lazy HR careerists. Pilots deserve real guidance, so they can make smarter career moves.”

Response operates on a contingency model, partnering with aviation employers to find high-calibre, long-term candidates.
