Transair Leasing takes on P2012 sales across four Latin nations
The Ecuador-based firm has been given responsibility for Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Peru, and will begin demonstration tours in June.
The P2012 demo aircraft is expected to arrive in Q2 2025 ahead of a regional tour.

Tecnam has appointed Transair Leasing Inc. as its authorised dealer for the P2012 series in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Peru. The Ecuadorian company brings more than 30 years of regional experience in aircraft and helicopter sales and support.

Transair Leasing director Diego Ribadeneira says: “We are very excited to represent Tecnam and the P2012 Traveller in these Latin American countries. We have identified many different operations that can benefit from the P2012's incredible versatility and performance. With our demo aircraft arriving in Q2 of 2025, we will be touring and showcasing the P2012 across Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru starting in June of 2025. This will allow us to hit the ground running and immediately start taking orders in our markets.”

Tecnam P2012 special mission platform sales and business development manager Francesco Sferra adds: “Tecnam, in a constant effort to expand and improve the P2012 global distribution and support network, is proud to partner with Transair Leasing Inc. We are certain that the Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Peru customers will benefit from the know-how, the capabilities and the local presence of our lately announced dealer.”

The P2012 Traveller is a twin-engine piston aircraft with seating for up to nine passengers plus two crew. Its fixed gear and unpressurised cabin enable multiple mission types, and it can be reconfigured between passenger, cargo, medevac, executive and air taxi roles. It is certified by both EASA and the FAA for single-pilot operations under IFR and VFR, and does not require a type rating or have any cycle limits.

Transair Leasing is part of Grupo Aries and has represented Bell Helicopters and the Textron Company in Ecuador. Sister company Aeroinsa operates charter flights with a Bell 505 and runs a maintenance facility at Guayaquil airport certified for both helicopters and aeroplanes.
