The National Business Aviation Association’s Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference (SDC) was held in March in New Orleans, making a strong impact on the industry’s 2025 event calendar with opportunities for networking, learning, and sharing current and future challenges. The conference featured more than 430 exhibiting companies and attracted more than 3,300 attendees, including 350 first-time participants.
“This year's SDC reverberated with a passion for aviation and a commitment to coming together and moving forward with a sense of shared purpose,” says NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen. “We connected with each other, gained valuable insights from each other and invested in the industry’s future together.”
The event included more than 30 educational sessions offering expert advice on managing the wide-ranging priorities that schedulers and dispatchers face in a rapidly evolving landscape, with CDC co-chairs Andrew Stylianou and Jennifer Dow emphasising the opportunities for innovation in their profession. “For business aviation to thrive amid the emergence of new technologies, evolving safety standards and an increasingly demanding global market, the industry must innovate faster than ever,” said Dow at the event. “This conference provides the tools to navigate these and other challenges with strategic thinking and leadership.”
A conference highlight was the presentation of the 2025 Schedulers and Dispatchers Outstanding Achievement and Leadership Award to Joy Buoncuore, a long-time scheduler and licensed dispatcher who serves as the supervisor of transportation scheduling for Constellation Energy. The event also recognised a number of SDC scholarship recipients and sponsors.
The next SDC will take place in Cleveland, Ohio, on 24-26 March 2026.
