Silver Air has promoted James Gould to vice president of flight crew and chief pilot. He brings over 10,000 flight hours and wide-ranging experience across Part 135 and Part 91 operations. At Silver Air, he has served five years as chief pilot and check airman, training and evaluating pilots under FAA Part 135 regulations.

Gould has flown aircraft including the Gulfstream G200, GIV, GV, G500, Challenger 600 series, Bombardier Global Express and various Citation and Embraer models. He also held leadership roles at JSX, JetSuite and Avjet and contributes to Silver Air’s ASAP safety team and lead captain training.

“James's exceptional aviation background and demonstrated leadership make him the perfect choice to lead our flight crew operations,” says Jason Middleton, CEO of Silver Air. “His dedication to pilot development, safety excellence and regulatory compliance aligns perfectly with our mission to provide the highest level of service while maintaining industry-leading safety standards.”

“I am honoured to take on this expanded role and continue building upon Silver Air's reputation for operational excellence,” adds James Gould. “Our flight crews are the foundation of our service delivery and I look forward to further developing our team while ensuring we maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism for our aircraft owners and charter clients.”

This appointment follows other leadership changes in the company and comes as Silver Air reinforces its standing with Wyvern Wingman PRO certification and IS-BAO Stage III status.
