Aviation simulation company Loft Dynamics has welcomed industry leader Itash Samani as its executive vice president of public affairs, focusing on expanding VR-based training globally and aligning it with regulatory standards.

Loft Dynamics has brought on simulation and training industry leader Itash Samani as executive vice president of public affairs. With over 40 years of experience, including more than two decades at CAE, Samani has played a key role in advancing simulator technology, developing industry standards and working with regulators, airlines and training organisations to modernise pilot training.

At Loft Dynamics, he will lead the company’s public affairs strategy, focusing on expanding into new markets and navigating global regulatory requirements. Additionally, Samani will oversee business development, collaborating with industry stakeholders to accelerate adoption.

“At Loft Dynamics, we’re leveraging VR technology to enhance pilot training with immersive, high-fidelity experiences that improve safety and accessibility,” says Samani. “Our VR technology simulators address training gaps by providing realistic, data-driven environments that prepare pilots for real-world challenges. The industry is at a turning point and I am excited to help drive this transformation.”

Loft Dynamics founder and CEO Fabi Riesen adds: “Itash’s expertise is exactly what we need to drive the next evolution in pilot training and bring VR into the mainstream. His leadership will be key in working with regulators, operators and training organisations to ensure VR becomes a core component of pilot training at scale.”
