US Aviation Academy is expanding its fleet with 38 Tecnam aircraft, including the P2010 with a Lycoming IO-360 engine and the twin-engine P2006T MKII with a Rotax 912S3. Deliveries are scheduled through to the first quarter of 2026, with an option for a further 52 aircraft in 2026 and 2027.
Established in 2006, the academy operates a fleet of around 175 aircraft across multiple bases, training 1,500 flight and maintenance students. The Tecnam additions will support its airline and government pilot training contracts, reinforcing its ability to provide structured and efficient training.
Scott Sykes, director of US Aviation Academy, says: “At US Aviation Academy, we are committed to providing our students with the best training experience possible and the addition of these new Tecnam aircraft to our fleet is a testament to that commitment.”
Tecnam’s managing director Giovanni Pascale Langer adds: “The selection of the Tecnam P2010 and P2006T MKII aircraft underscores the academy’s dedication to excellence in flight training. These aircraft offer state-of-the-art avionics, exceptional performance and operational efficiency, making them ideal for student pilots preparing for their future careers.”
The P2010, a single-engine aircraft, is designed for IFR training, while the P2006T MKII provides multi-engine experience. US Aviation Academy’s continued investment in advanced aircraft aims to ensure graduates are prepared for evolving industry demands.
