German non-profit air rescue organisation DRF Luftrettung has expanded its proven Learjet 35A fleet with the addition of a Cessna Citation C680 Sovereign+ air ambulance jet, demonstrating its commitment to providing its clients and sponsors with the highest level of service and safety standards in patient air transport.

“With our three ambulance aircraft, the two Learjet 35A and the new Sovereign+ based at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden airport, we are very well positioned for the current market requirements providing best patient care,” says Peter Keidler, head of ambulance operations.

Thanks to its significantly increased range, the Sovereign+ enables direct, long-distance transport such as to northern and central Africa, while optimising flight planning. The aircraft features a generously sized cabin, providing ample space for medical equipment and comfortable treatment areas for up to two stretcher patients. Additionally, a patient-friendly pressurised cabin ensures a smooth and comfortable flight experience.

Equipped with the latest avionics technology in the form of a Garmin G5000 glass cockpit, the Sovereign+ guarantees maximum operational safety and efficiency, an essential advantage in time-sensitive air ambulance operations. The ability to operate from smaller airports with shorter runways expands its operational reach, enabling even faster patient transfers.
