A new collaboration aims to introduce air taxis and air ambulances across India, UAE, Thailand and Indonesia, expanding urban air mobility.
The partnership was announced at Aero India 2025.

The ePlane Company and Empire Aviation Group have announced a strategic partnership to advance eVTOL deployment across key aviation markets. Revealed at Aero India 2025, the agreement focuses on air taxi and air ambulance operations in India, UAE, Thailand and Indonesia, with plans for broader global expansion.

Empire Aviation will apply its expertise in safety protocols, fleet management and operational procedures to support ePlane’s e2000X eVTOL aircraft. The company is also considering a strategic investment in ePlane during its next funding round, subject to agreed terms.

Empire Aviation founder and managing director Paras P. Dhamecha says: “As the market for urban air mobility continues to take greater importance, Empire Aviation has entered into a strategic partnership with ePlane to provide our inputs in the development, certification and operational and customer experience aspects of the eVTOL.”

The ePlane Company CEO Prof. Satya Chakravarthy adds: “By combining our patented technology with Empire’s operational expertise across multiple geographies, we are confident in our ability to deliver safe, efficient and reliable urban air mobility solutions.”

Both companies expect further collaborations in maintenance, repair and overhaul services, regulatory engagement and infrastructure development, with additional commercial agreements to be outlined in the future.
