Duncan Aviation has appointed Mike Lewis as regional manager for the South-Central US and Jeremy Rangel as vice-president for its Lincoln, Nebraska, MRO facility.
With more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, Lewis will support business aircraft operators in Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas. He brings a wealth of expertise in aviation sales and business development, having held leadership roles in domestic and international sales, marketing and product management. His career spans positions at companies such as FlightSafety, Furst Aircraft & Instrument, StandardAero, Collins Aerospace and most recently Gogo Business Aviation.
“Mike’s proven sales track record and strong industry relationships make him an ideal fit for this position,” comments Susie Corn, RM Manager. “His outstanding communication, follow-up and teamwork skills will be a tremendous asset to our team and, most importantly, our customers in the south-central region.”
Based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Lewis is well positioned to serve operators throughout the territory. He plans to leverage his deep understanding of the region’s aviation landscape and his established relationships to connect operators with Duncan Aviation’s range of services. “I look forward to supporting my former customers while forging new relationships in the South-Central region,” he says. “My focus has always been to provide solutions that simplify customers’ operations and maximise the value and performance of their aircraft. I’m eager to leverage Duncan Aviation’s comprehensive suite of services, from airframe and engine maintenance to interior, paint, avionics and parts support, to help them achieve their goals.”
Rangel will be responsible for Duncan’s Lincoln MRO airframe and paint services. He was previously the airframe services manager, where he earned status as a certificated A&P aircraft mechanic and was promoted to weekend shift team leader before being tasked with managing the entire airframe department.
“Since he was hired, Jeremy quickly grasped the roles and responsibilities necessary to be an effective manager and worked diligently to understand complex situations,” says Mike Minchow, Duncan president. “He has excelled in his ability to identify a problem, perform an effective root cause analysis and implement actionable and preventative measures. He is also able to think creatively and look for innovations in all areas of the company.”
