Indian air ambulance service International Critical Care Air Transfer Team (ICATT) has signed an MoU with The ePlane Company, an Indian electric air taxi developer, to deploy 788 eVTOL air ambulances, marking the largest initial agreement in the eVTOL industry valued at over $1 billion. This partnership will enable rapid emergency response across every district in India.
ICATT founder Shalini Nalwad comments: “This is going to be a very good solution in terms of organ airlifts. 95 per cent of registered patient recipients die before they get an organ. This is purely because of the lack of logistics, not due to a lack of donors. This collaboration is going to solve this problem and redefine access to healthcare in India.”
The ePlane Company founder Satya Chakravarthy adds: “This collaboration is a monumental step in expanding aerial medical services. Faster airlifts will bridge the gap between accident sites and medical facilities, reducing fatalities and improving accessibility.”
At the core of the MoU is The ePlane Company's e200x eVTOL, with rooftop take-off capability and the power to transport patients seven times faster than road vehicles.
Together, the two companies are building India's largest air ambulance network making life-saving care swift and accessible, wherever it is needed.
