Texas organisation CSI Aviation has witnessed a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new corporate hangar at the Killeen Regional airport. The event took place next to CSI’s existing hangar, marking a significant milestone in aviation infrastructure development in Central Texas.

The new facility, designed to meet the evolving aviation needs of CSI, features 8,000 sq ft of hangar space and 4,000 sq ft of office space spread across two floors. CSI is an Albuquerque, New Mexico headquartered Part 135 operator specialising in fixed-wing air ambulance services, air transport for the US government and ad hoc charter flights. The project was completed in just over a year by NASCO Construction, demonstrating modern engineering and strategic design aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

CSI has entered into an agreement for Corporate Hangar II, further strengthening its presence in Killeen. This investment will significantly boost the company’s maintenance and operational capabilities, reinforcing its commitment to delivering premier aviation services. The expansion highlights CSI Aviation’s dedication to supporting the Killeen community and advancing the region's aviation industry.

The ribbon-cutting event brought together key community leaders, aviation professionals and stakeholders to celebrate this achievement. Notable attendees included local government officials, military representatives, business leaders, aviation industry professionals and CSI Aviation employees.

“This hangar was built with an ultimate focus on our community to save lives, and every one of us values the people that it saves,” says William Collins, president and chief operating officer of CSI Aviation, gesturing toward the King Air 300 aircraft on display. “It doesn’t just happen with a machine. It happens because of the hard work and dedication to drawing high-quality individuals to provide that service.”

The opening of Corporate Hangar II aligns with Killeen’s vision of fostering innovation and growth in the aviation industry while bolstering the economic vitality of the region. The City of Killeen and its aviation partners look forward to the positive impact this facility will have on the community and aviation sector.
