NATA introduces AI-driven safety management system
NATA CS has introduced an AI-driven safety management system that integrates safety and security compliance, streamlining FAA Part 5 requirements for operators, ground services and airports.

NATA Compliance Services (NATA CS) has launched an AI-powered safety management system (SMS) designed to integrate safety and security into a single platform. The system streamlines compliance with the FAA’s Part 5 regulation and introduces tools that help operators, ground service providers and airports manage risk more efficiently.

Key features include AI-assisted safety report processing, automated risk categorisation and recommended hazard controls to speed up decision-making. The Flight Risk Assessment Tool compiles relevant flight data to calculate risk levels and escalate 'go/no go' decisions when required.

NATA's co-founder and head of product Gary Tougas says: “We are excited by the early feedback and the efficiencies our subscribers are getting. One operator said that the GenAI Safety Reporting with recommended controls saved his team 90 minutes by streamlining the normal reporting review process. Building on this strong foundation, we will continue to advance safety through smart automation, seamless integrations with leading operational tools and new features that empower operators to proactively manage risk with data-driven precision.”

Jiri Marousek, CEO of NATA, adds: “NATA CS has been at the forefront of aviation security, delivering a platform of services that streamlines compliance and now with the launch of the SMS we are able to enhance our operators' safety. As the only fully integrated aviation safety and security compliance solution, we continue to meet the evolving regulatory demands with unprecedented efficiency and reliability for our operators.”
