Heartland adopts MEL software for compliance and efficiency
The AI-powered platform streamlines Minimum Equipment List management, ensuring compliance and improving safety across the fleet.

Heartland Aviation, a business charter operator based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, has adopted TrustFlight’s Minimum Equipment List (MEL) Manager, a digital solution designed to simplify the creation, revision and publishing of MELs.

MELs are a complex but essential aspect of aviation operations. Many traditional tools, such as word processors, are not optimised for handling detailed regulatory documents, often leading to inefficiencies, formatting issues and compliance risks. By integrating TrustFlight’s platform, Heartland will shift its operations away from outdated manual tools while ensuring compliance processes remain accurate and efficient.

Heartland Aviation has always prioritised the safety and reliability of its services,” says Cory Haupt, director of operations, Heartland Aviation. “By partnering with TrustFlight, we’re adopting one of the industry’s most advanced tools to ensure our operations remain immune to compliance errors that may impact our flight operations.”

The platform also improves collaboration between technical writers, maintenance teams and operations staff by centralising document management, reducing the risk of manual mistakes while keeping records aligned with regulatory updates.
