EHang is participating in the Urban Supply Aerial Vehicles for Emergencies (U-SAVE) project, a European Union-backed initiative focused on using unmanned aerial vehicles to transport life-saving supplies during emergencies. Funded by the European Commission under the EIT Urban Mobility programme, the project aims to improve safety and reduce response times by bypassing road traffic congestion.
The project brings together industry stakeholders including the Aragonese Aerospace Cluster, ANRA Technologies and the Estonian Aviation Academy, with support from public institutions such as Zaragoza City Council and the city of Tartu. EHang will contribute its EH216 series pilotless eVTOL aircraft, leveraging the company's operational expertise, in-depth knowledge of UAM and established footprint across Europe.
Flight demonstrations will take place in Zaragoza, Spain and Tartu, Estonia, with additional trials based at EHang’s UAM Centre at Lleida Alguaire International Airport.
“U-SAVE represents a groundbreaking approach to urban emergency logistics,” says Victoria Jing Xiang, EHang’s chief operating officer for Europe and Latin America. “We are proud to contribute our EH216 series pilotless eVTOL aircraft system to provide innovative, fast and safe solutions.”
