Universal Aviation Dominican Republic and national airport operator Aerodom have announced plans to build a new FBO at Presidente Juan Bosch International Airport (MDCY) in Samaná, Dominican Republic. The facility, designed to meet growing demand from ultra-luxury travellers, is set to open in Q2 2025.
The state-of-the-art FBO will offer a full range of services, including ground handling, aircraft fuelling, concierge support, valet parking, passenger amenities and dedicated flight crew lounges. Danilo Rosario Jiménez, director of Universal Aviation Dominican Republic, says: “By strengthening our presence in the northeastern region with world-class, personalised services, we're supporting the area's economic development while ensuring private and executive aviation clients receive the premium experience they expect.”
Aerodom commercial director Fabien Gourdon adds: “The construction of this new FBO in Samaná reflects our commitment to the region and our users, providing them with modern facilities and excellent services.”
This project builds on Universal Aviation’s collaboration with Aerodom, following the recent renovation of its FBO at Gregorio Luperón International Airport in Puerto Plata. Universal Aviation, the ground support division of Universal Weather and Aviation, Inc., operates at more than 50 locations across 30 countries.
