Alerion Aviation has announced that Robert Seidel will step down as chief executive officer after 12 years of leadership, transitioning to the role of chairman. Daniel Ramirez will succeed him as CEO. Seidel, with over 35 years in the aviation industry, has been instrumental in Alerion's growth, previously holding positions at Gulfstream Aerospace and Jet Aviation. His career also includes service as a U.S. Navy flight officer.
Ramirez, formerly chief operating officer at Vista Americas, steps into the role of CEO with experience in operations, safety and aviation management. He has held leadership positions at XOJet and Embraer Executive Jets and, like Seidel, also previously served as a U.S. Naval flight officer. Holding degrees in aviation management and system safety, he is also a commercial-rated pilot with multiple type ratings.
Seidel says: “Passing the torch to the next generation of Alerion leaders and opening a new chapter as chairman of Alerion is exciting and a natural transition. Daniel's extensive experience in aviation safety, operations and leadership will be instrumental as we continue to expand Alerion's service offerings and enhance our industry-leading reputation for safety and service excellence. We are excited to welcome Daniel to the Alerion team and look forward to his leadership in driving the company's continued growth." Seidel looks forward to supporting the team in a strategic capacity and helping to shape the company's future.
