Sharma joins Rotortrade to lead South Asian operations
With over 20 years of aerospace experience, Sharma strengthens Rotortrade’s presence in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Sharma will oversee Rotortrade’s operations across five countries from his base in Bangalore.

Rotortrade has appointed Vijay Sharma to lead its operations in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. He will be based in Bangalore and brings over 20 years of aerospace experience to the role.

Sharma has worked on EU-India civil aviation projects and previously served as sales manager for Airbus Helicopters in India, supporting the country’s helicopter industry. He has also leased ATRs through Elix Aviation Dublin and supplied composites for Airbus and Boeing, working with Indian defence companies like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

Holding an Aerospace MBA from Toulouse Business School, Sharma returns to helicopter sales as the region’s industry continues to expand. Rotortrade executive director and APAC/MEA head Aurelien Blanc says: “His expertise, enthusiasm and deep connections in the industry will be invaluable as we continue to expand our footprint in this dynamic market.”
