Brazil's TAM expands workforce training and service
An investment in workforce training and service expansion will enhance TAM AE’s Jundiaí facility for business aviation.
The Jundiaí service centre is the largest Textron Aviation-approved facility outside the US.

TAM Aviacao Executiva, in partnership with SENAI SP, has introduced training courses in GMP engines and avionics at its Jundiaí service centre, the largest and most advanced facility of its kind in Latin America. Two mobile training units, equipped for theoretical and practical instruction, are now in place to train new employees and increase the availability of skilled labour.

“People development is a priority for us,” says Roberto Salinas, director of people, culture and leadership at TAM AE. “Training a qualified workforce requires continuous investment, and we believe that offering training from the beginning of their professional career is essential to ensure the excellence and safety of our services.”

The Jundiaí facility, covering 20,000 sqm, is the largest Textron Aviation-approved service centre outside the US and holds certifications from ANAC, the FAA and other regulatory bodies. It stocks over 7,000 aircraft parts and has a customs warehouse to speed up component imports, reducing aircraft downtime.

Recent investments include becoming a Pratt & Whitney Designated Maintenance Facility, authorising it to service P&WC engines in Brazil. The company is also a designated service centre for Williams International.

Additional upgrades include a modernised paint booth, featuring the Virtek Iris 3D system, which speeds up painting by four times, and a partnership with F/List to introduce luxury aircraft interiors to the Brazilian market.
