Duncan Aviation has completed extensive interior refurbishments on a Bombardier Challenger CL605 and a Gulfstream G200, elevating both aircraft with high-end materials and modern design.
The Challenger CL605 received a full interior and exterior refurbishment, featuring a quarter-figured paldao veneer with a custom warm brown stain. Lead designer Jaime Blanken says: “The grain of the veneer is something you don't see every day. Its rich stain shifts from dark to light brown depending on the lighting and angle, creating a captivating visual contrast. Sharp lines blend seamlessly with softer veins, giving the veneer an unforgettable 'wow' factor.”
The CL605's interior moved away from its original beige design, opting for taupe textured lower sidewalls, ultraleather upper sidewalls and a fresh headliner. A wool and silk loop-patterned carpet have enhanced the updated aesthetic. Seating now includes a three-place divan upholstered in durable leather, flowing seamlessly with the other cabin seats. Satin smoke nickel plating has provided a polished finish, while woven vinyl flooring now greets passengers at the entry. The refurbishment also incorporated an integrated Prizm aircraft lighting system.
The Gulfstream G200 refurbishment introduced a darker, contemporary palette with black carpeting, Makore veneer and contrasting fabrics. The aircraft, previously painted by Duncan Aviation in 2019, originally had a beige interior that the owner sought to modernise. Noting a growing trend toward darker hues, Blanken says: “We are seeing a trend toward blacks and darker palettes for 2025. Customers are incorporating accents of grey, instead of making it dominant. This aircraft is a great example of the design selections we expect to see more of going forward.”
The cabin now features two-tone hand-stitched seats, quilted black vinyl lower sidewalls and an off-white and black 'peppered' fabric on the upper sidewalls to provide contrast. Satin smoked nickel cabinetry and hardware complement Calcutta stone solid surface countertops, while smoked polycarbonate inserts contribute to the cabin’s modern aesthetic. The lavatory and entryway were also updated with luxury vinyl tile flooring and a coordinated curtain that visually links the exterior with the cabin interior.
