AAG expands in Europe with Patria acquisition
Airways Aviation Nordic will offer career pathways for pilots, cabin crew, technicians and other aviation professionals.
Airways Aviation's fleet includes a collection of Diamond DA40 and DA42 models.

UAE-based Airways Aviation Group has acquired Patria Pilot Training Oy, a Finnish company specialising in professional pilot training. Following the acquisition, Patria Pilot Training will be rebranded as Airways Aviation Nordic. The agreement, signed on 30 December 2024, will see full ownership transfer on 1 February 2025.

Patria Pilot Training, which operates from Pirkkala and Vantaa in Finland, as well as Córdoba in Spain, is well-known for its high-quality EASA ATPL, military and MPL training. The company boasts a fleet of 12 Diamond Aircraft and three simulators, including an Airbus A320 Level 1 FTD, providing training services across various sectors.

The move is set to significantly expand Airways Aviation’s operations in the Nordic region and enhance its ability to deliver training, supporting Airways Aviation’s ongoing global expansion. With over 45 years of experience, the company operates in more than 10 countries with a large fleet that includes a collection of Diamond DA40 and DA42 models.

The change is expected to expand Airways Aviation’s presence in the Nordic region and strengthen its training capabilities. Romy Hawatt, founder and chairman of Airways Aviation, noted that the acquisition will help broaden training opportunities for aviation students and professionals across Europe.
