Cirrus relaunches Approach app with augmented reality features
The updated app provides an immersive pre-flight training experience and expanded resources for Cirrus aircraft owners and instructors.

Cirrus has relaunched its Cirrus Approach app, a comprehensive digital tool designed for flight training in Cirrus Aircraft. The app offers mobile access to a range of training courses, progress tracking and essential flight instruction tools, all optimised for Apple iPad devices.

The relaunch includes the integration of augmented reality (AR) technology, allowing users to engage in interactive pre-flight training. This feature offers a virtual environment where pilots can practise safety checks and other key procedures specific to the Vision Jet and SR series. The new AR feature provides pilots with an immersive, interactive experience, designed to help them master crucial pre-flight tasks in a realistic virtual setting.

“The Cirrus Approach app is a valuable flight training resource for owners and flight instructors by increasing accessibility to content that keeps pilots current and safe,” says Zean Nielsen, CEO of Cirrus. “With the app refresh, we are now able to digitally connect more people to an array of flight training materials accessible at home or in the hangar.”
