Gama Aviation’s aircraft management and charter unit has expanded its capabilities with the addition of a Maltese AOC to its portfolio of operating certificates.

Gama Aviation's aircraft management and charter unit has added the Maltese AOC, marking the first post-Brexit EASA AOC for the company. The approval will facilitate the immediate transition of three aircraft, including a Gulfstream and a Bombardier Global, to the Maltese register.

The Maltese AOC is the first EASA AOC to be added by the company since Brexit, as the aircraft management firm drives forward its strategy under the leadership of Graham Williamson. The addition of the approval from the Maltese authority will see three aircraft immediately transition to its register, including the commercial operations of a Gulfstream G650 and a Bombardier Global.

Graham Williamson, managing director at AM&C, says: “We see Malta as an important part of our new aircraft management and charter strategy, providing full access to commercial operations within Europe. Our clients are now afforded the choice between the UK, UAE, Bermuda, Cayman, Isle of Man and now, Malta, to register their aircraft, with each AOC having a subtly different mix of benefits. As we build the fleet, having this non-prescriptive approach to which AOC the aircraft is deployed on, allows our clients to make best use of their aircraft for either personal or commercial use.”
