Líder receives certification renewal for N-reg maintenance
Líder's maintenance division can continue to perform technical inspections, repairs, retrofits and modernisation of aircraft registered in the US, and its Líder In Loco team can go wherever it is needed.

Lider Aviacao has just received the renewal of its certification from the FAA to continue carrying out maintenance services on aircraft registered in the US. This allows Líder's maintenance division to continue to perform technical inspections, repairs, retrofits and modernisation of aircraft registered in the United States. The authorisation also allows for application by Líder In Loco, where the company’s team of mechanics and engineers goes to the location of the aircraft to perform the necessary maintenance service.

“FAA certification is extremely important, as more and more of our foreign customers are coming to Brazil for business or pleasure in their executive aircraft. They can therefore rest assured that they can count on Líder’s expertise to take care of their aircraft here in our country,” explains maintenance director Fábio Del Lama.

Certification renewal is annual, and Líder has kept its certification renewed since 1967 when it was the first company in Latin America to obtain FAA certification.

In addition to Líder In Loco, the company currently has four maintenance centres located at airports in Brasília/DF, Congonhas/SP, Sorocaba/SP and Jacarepaguá/RJ. Lider Aviacao is certified by the FAA, ANAC in Brazil, EASA in Europe and ANAC in Argentina. Líder’s aircraft maintenance division is also an authorised service centre for Gulfstream, HondaJet and Bell, and is approved by Leonardo, Airbus, Hawker Beechcraft, Bombardier, Embraer and Sikorsky. It is a workshop for GE Honda Aero Engines, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce and Safran, and is a representative of avionics manufacturers Honeywell, Collins and Garmin.

Lider Aviacao has safety as the number one pillar of its operations and therefore only carries out maintenance services on aircraft for which it is certified,” adds Del Lama.
