JCB Aero, an AMAC Aerospace company, is now undertaking MRO activities at its hangar at Auch-Gers airport in France, further expanding its services and capabilities to existing and potential new customers.

The 5,000 square metre hangar, fully refurbished, can accommodate up to three single aisle aircraft simultaneously. It already welcomed the first aircraft in early October 2024; preparation of the hangar started in May 2024 and JCB Aero worked tirelessly with AMAC Aerospace Switzerland to be ready in September 2024.

“The launch of the maintenance, repair and overhaul activities is a major step in the development of JCB Aero which, being part of AMAC Group, is offering customers some additional capacities for the maintenance of their aircraft,” explains Frédéric Dezauzier, chief operating officer, JCB Aero. “The hangar, fully refreshed, can accept up to three single aisles at the same time, either Airbus or Boeing. The proximity from Airbus in Toulouse, is definitely a strong advantage.

“One of the core business activities of JCB Aero is high-end cabin design and production; the customers will find the perfect place for cabin refurbishment while the maintenance of their aircraft is happening, here in Auch, France. Some customers have expressed and demonstrated their trust in securing work to the AMAC/JCB Aero teams and our fully qualified teams are eager to receive their first aircraft this month.”

A new maintenance team has been recruited and further recruitment is underway so as to provide a team of between 20 and 30 employees. The hangar has also been equipped with new tool stores, offices for the staff and external offices for client representatives.
