California-headquartered MPI Jet has added a TBM 700 to its fleet. Manufactured in 1993, the aircraft features a royal blue, grey and black exterior, repainted in 2022. Its interior was completely refurbished in 2010. The TBM 700 is known for its low environmental impact, consuming less than 70 gallons of fuel per hour.
This aircraft has a maximum range of 1,550 nm, can reach speeds up to 345 mph, and has a service ceiling of 30,000 ft. The TBM 700 comfortably accommodates four passengers in its cabin, which is 14 feet long. For luggage, the aircraft offers 30 cubic feet of baggage space, capable of holding four large bags and two sets of golf clubs when at full passenger capacity. The cabin is equipped with leather seating and AC power outlets. It's also pet-friendly and complimentary snacks, spirits and beverages are provided onboard.
The aircraft's combination of efficiency, comfort, and performance makes it a valuable asset to MPI Jet's fleet, suitable for a variety of travel needs.
MPI Jet's diverse fleet now includes two TBMs, two PC-12NGs, a CJ2+ and a Bravo. The PC-12 NG has emerged as the most popular aircraft in the fleet, praised for its spacious cabin and cost-effective charter options. The CJ2+ has also seen increased demand due to its superior speed and operational efficiency.
Popular West Coast destinations include Yuma, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Pendleton, Coeur d'Alene, Jackson Hole, Hamilton and Portland. MPI Jet offers exclusive empty leg flights at up to 70 per cent off on routes to and from these popular destinations.
MPI Jet also welcomed two experienced pilots in early 2024. David Russell joined MPI Jet’s team in December of 2023 with just over 2,000 hours of flight experience, 900 of which are in a turboprop. He specialises in flying the PC-12 and was recently type-rated for the Citation CJ2+ aircraft. Meanwhile Austin Turner, who specialises in aircraft maintenance, has two years of experience as a flight instructor and an additional two and a half years flying in rural Alaska.
The company has also implemented a customised SMS and a tailored flight risk assessment tool (FRAT), which are now FAA-approved, further elevating its operational standards.
“Our recent developments reflect MPI Jet's dedication to excellence in private aviation,” says James Garamendi, president of MPI Jet. “We're excited about our growth and the opportunities it will bring to better serve our clients and contribute to our community.”
