Texas Aerospace achieves STC for emergency power battery supply
The STC allows TAT to offer a powerful emergency battery power supply solution that provides peace of mind for pilots and operators, knowing their lighting systems will have backup power when needed most.

Texas Aerospace Technologies has achieved supplemental type certificate approval for the True Blue Power TS28 emergency battery power supply (EBPS).

This advances aircraft safety and reliability, offering enhanced emergency power solutions for the Cessna Citation 550, 560, 650, 680, 680A and 700 models. The TS28 is designed for easy installation as a drop-in pin for pin replacement of the Radiant CBS28-1. The TS28 is TSO-certified and uses nickel metal hydride battery technology. This helps operators reduce costs by improving performance, extending battery life and delivering more energy per cell compared to competing battery chemistries, including nickel cadmium (NiCad).

Achieving STC approval reflects Texas Aerospace Technologies’ commitment to collaborating with OEMs to deliver avionics solutions that prioritise safety, efficiency and innovation. The True Blue Power TS28 is now available to operators seeking to upgrade their aircraft with a reliable and proven emergency battery power supply solution.

“Securing the STC for the True Blue Power TS28 is a testament to our team’s dedication and expertise,” says president Cisco Hernandez. “This certification allows us to offer a powerful emergency battery power supply solution that provides peace of mind for pilots and operators, knowing their lighting systems will have backup power when needed most.”
