The Louisiana State Police unit has received two Bell 407GXis from Bell Textron. The arrival of these two rotorcraft brings Louisiana's total number of aircraft to nine.

With the added capabilities of the Air Support Unit’s new Bell 407GXis, the Louisiana State Police is expecting to significantly expand upon their public safety mission portfolio. “Louisiana State Police has a long-standing relationship with Bell and their commitment to public safety. The newly delivered Bell 407GXis will join the Air Support Unit’s seven other Bell aircraft, including a Bell 407GXP, two Bell 430s, a Bell UH-1H, a Bell UH-1V, Bell Huey II and a Bell 206L-IV Long Ranger.
