ACC Aviation capitalises on a recovering industry
ACC’s 1H24 executive jet business is nearly twice that of 1H23, and its aircraft sales and remarketing segment is thriving on the back of a rebound in passenger traffic and the need for fleet modernisation.

Despite ongoing challenges in the aviation industry, UK-headquartered provider of aircraft leasing, consulting and charter services ACC Aviation is experiencing a year of robust growth.

CEO Philip Mathews feels the industry is showing optimistic signs. “The aviation sector in 2024 continues to show resilience and adaptability in the face of ongoing challenges such as supply chain disruptions, labour shortages and fluctuating demand,” he says.

While the global air charter services market has shown significant growth in recent years, and is still projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over five per cent between 2024 and 2032, the market for private jet travel in 2024 is experiencing some mixed trends.

While prices for private jet travel have decreased, they remain about 20 per cent higher than pre-COVID levels and there has been an overall reduction in private jet activity due to ongoing challenges like pilot shortages and maintenance backlogs.

However, demand in the private jet charter sector remains high, driven by increasing interest from individuals and businesses seeking luxurious and efficient travel options. In the first half of 2024, ACC Aviation has seen a 90 per cent increase in executive jet business compared to the same period in 2023. ACC Aviation continues to provide charter services to various market segments such as sports teams, corporate executive jets and HNW private jet charters, alongside bespoke corporate shuttle services.

“The growth of our charter services highlights the increasing preference for flexible and personalised travel solutions,” says director of charter Charlie Wilcox. “Our ability to deliver bespoke charter services underscores our commitment to meeting the unique needs of each client.”

Its aircraft sales and remarketing segment has also seen significant activity, driven by the rebound in passenger traffic and the need for fleet modernisation.

“With the demand for new and used aircraft surging, our sales and remarketing services are more vital than ever,” notes Rob Watts, director of consulting. “We provide tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients, from sourcing and remarketing aircraft to developing comprehensive business plans.”

“Looking ahead, ACC Aviation remains optimistic about the future of the aviation industry. With a focus on innovation, adaptability and a deep understanding of client needs, ACC is well-positioned to capitalise on emerging opportunities and continue to be a trusted partner for airlines and travellers alike,” Mathews concludes.
