MD Helicopters is growing its global network of MDH service providers with the addition of a new Thoroughbred Aviation authorised service centre (ASC) location at Georgetown Executive airport in Texas. This is the first MDH ASC in Texas, and the second MDH network location for Thoroughbred Aviation.

"We have been focused on ensuring our network is geographically aligned with our fielded fleet," says MD Helicopters VP of aftermarket service and support Ryan Weeks. "By adding an ASC in Texas, we are better serving our customers with our trusted partners at Thoroughbred Aviation and expanding our network into a region that has one of the highest concentrations of MDs in the country."

For almost 40 years, Thoroughbred Aviation has been serving the helicopter community with reliable maintenance, service and support. It has grown in order to meet customers' needs, and continues as it expands to its sixth location, in Georgetown, Texas. The location will be the only full-service centre in Texas and includes blade balancing, basic to advanced maintenance support and specialised tooling.

"We are excited to add Georgetown, Texas to our portfolio of locations and services and for continuing our partnership with MD Helicopters," says Thoroughbred vice president Joe Otte. "We look forward to serving the helicopter community in this new region, bringing the excellent service and technical expertise we are known for across our other locations. With our broad range of services, including completions, avionics, paint and routine maintenance, we believe we offer one of the best-value, one-stop-shops in the nation."
