Partners bring ultra-low bandwidth video to SkyTrac Iridium Certus
Videosoft's streaming platform will enable SkyTrac customers to access features, such as simultaneous streaming of multiple scenes, AES128 and AES256 bit encryption, hi-res snapshots and hi-res video retrieval.

SkyTrac Systems, provider of satellite communications and intelligent connectivity solutions, has partnered with Videosoft Global, an ultra-low bandwidth video streaming provider, to provide ultra-low bandwidth streaming services over SkyTrac's family of Iridium Certus connected systems.

This compelling low-bandwidth solution will enable SkyTrac's customers to take advantage of real-time video transmission over wireless networks with limited bandwidth. With reliable, low-latency, real-time video available globally, this solution is ideal for critical airborne observation and surveillance operations.

“Videosoft is glad to be working with SkyTrac to introduce our ultra-low bandwidth streaming solution to its aviation markets,” says Stewart McCone, CEO of Videosoft. “In partnering with SkyTrac, we are affirming our dedication to providing innovative video streaming solutions for those conducting critical missions. We believe our service will be incredibly beneficial to SkyTrac's customers.”

Videosoft's streaming platform will enable SkyTrac's customers to access various exciting features, such as simultaneous streaming of multiple scenes, AES128 and AES256 bit encryption, hi-res snapshots, hi-res video retrieval and more. With the ability to stream at as low as four Kbps, Videosoft's streaming service will enable operators to access reliable video footage over Iridium satellite, cellular and other radio-based IP networks.

SkyTrac is always looking for ways to offer new and innovative solutions to our customers, and we are excited to offer Videosoft's streaming for our Iridium Certus systems,” adds Iain Ronis, director of product management at SkyTrac. “With our mutual understanding of creating solutions for harsh and low-bandwidth environments, this partnership is set to open new avenues for both of us and further strengthen our position as leading solutions providers.”
