Philippines operators purchase customised Bells
Sky Yard Aviation has purchased a customised Bell 429 while Aerobee has taken delivery of the first Bell 407GXi in the Philippines.
Bell celebrates the delivery of the first Bell 407GXi in the Philippines with Aerobee at the Singapore Airshow.

The first Bell 407GXi helicopter in the Philippines has been delivered to Aerobee Corporation.

"Bell's Asia Pacific operators continue to recognise that the 407GXi's low cost of ownership and proven performance meet their clients' discerning needs. Now available with full IFR certification and backed by industry-leading aftermarket support for which Bell is globally renowned, the Bell 407GXi with its multi-mission capabilities is a benchmark for this region," says Bell managing director, Asia Pacific Sameer Rehman. "Our Filipino customers are important to Bell's success, and we are privileged that Aerobee in Manila has selected the new Bell 407GXi to enhance its offerings."

Founded in 2020, Aerobee Corporation is focused on the distribution and sale of products and services in the Philippine aviation and agriculture industry. Aerobee's Bell 407GXi helicopter comes equipped with an auto-pilot feature and a new interior with better support for connectivity with mobile devices and computers.

Meanwhile, Sky Yard Aviation, also in the Philippines, has taken delivery of a highly customised Bell 429, bringing the total number of Bell 429 helicopters operating in the Philippines to 12.

This particular Bell 429 has been outfitted to Sky Yard's exact specifications, featuring custom paint and interiors with bespoke interior fittings.

"Bell's user-friendly approach and long history working in the Philippine rotorcraft industry aided me in seamlessly designing our Bell 429. The cutting edge technology coupled with Bell's excellent customer service ensured a smooth process, cumulating in a helicopter that goes beyond expectations," says president captain Louie Leonardo Ibarra.

"Throughout the sales process, it was exciting to see the Sky Yard and Bell design teams collaboratively develop a unique aircraft incorporating the owner's tastes and sensibilities that also supported their business and lifestyle needs," adds Rehman. "The Philippines remains a key growth market for Bell and especially the Bell 429. We are proud to see Philippine corporations recognise the value the Bell 429 brings in terms of safety, reliability and comfort."
