VI&E Solutions to electrify US aviation infrastructure
The US electric grid is over 100 years old and was not built for efficiency. Volatus I&E will work with PowerUp America to electrify the infrastructure at airports and vertiports instead.
VI&E will develop a charging network throughout the US by electrifying the infrastructure at airports, vertiports and other electric mobility locations.

Volatus Infrastructure & Energy Solutions is to collaborate with sustainable transportation solutions company PowerUp America to electrify the infrastructure at airports, vertiports and other electric mobility locations within the US to create a sustainable, accessible regional transportation ecosystem.

"The US electric grid is over 100 years old; we must remember it was not built for efficiency. We look forward to working hand-in-hand with PowerUp America to complement strategies for a new standard for eVTOL charging in advanced air mobility. Our partnership will be where the future lands today," says CCO Bob Johnson.

Josh Turner, CEO of PowerUp America, adds: "Our partnership with VI&E Solutions is a groundbreaking initiative to develop an airport charging network throughout the region. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our mission to revolutionise the transportation landscape by integrating sustainable energy solutions with our nation's aviation infrastructure. Together we are committed to creating a robust network for freight and passenger transport, setting a new standard for airport connectivity. Our joint effort signifies more than just the expansion of charging infrastructure; it represents a shared vision for a greener, more connected future. We look forward to the innovation and opportunities this partnership will bring to our communities and the positive impact it will have on our environment."
