West Star puts two in place in Illinois
West Star appoints a manager for its Chicago satellite location and a programme manager of line services at East Alton.

US-based MRO and FBO service provider West Star Aviation has appointed Timothy Freeman as satellite manager at its Chicago Executive airport location, and promoted David Green to programme manager of line services at its St Louis Regional airport facility in East Alton, both in Illinois.

With more than 28 years of aviation experience, Freeman has previously held positions as a DOM and senior ISR in the Middle East, maintenance tech supervisor at ComAir and mid-body tech at NASA. He started his aviation career in the US Air Force as a KC135 crew chief.

"I'm excited to work with and watch Tim and his team grow the Wheeling facility while supporting the surrounding area with the capabilities West Star Aviation brings to the aviation industry," says Sharon Klose, director of satellites, MRT and engines.

Green previously served in the US Navy as an aviation boatswain's mate handler. In his new role, he replaces Quinlin Crawford who is retiring at the end of the year. Green will lead various aircraft and fuelling operations, including customer service, financial management and operational development. Additionally, he will focus on managing and maintaining a cohesive team, overseeing maintenance and repair of line facilities, equipment/tooling and fuel farm support operations.

"David has consistently demonstrated dedication and a tenacious work ethic. We have no doubt that he will continue to bring the same level of enthusiasm, determination and expertise to his expanded responsibilities," says general manager Brian Bauwens.
