The Austrian AOC operation of Axis Aviation has received Part 129 Operations Specifications (OpSpecs) certification from the FAA to enable operations in the United States.

As demand for intercontinental flights continues to rise, becoming Part 129 certified makes Axis Aviation Austria well placed to serve the growing US charter market and welcome new stateside customers. Clients can now travel to and from the company’s base in Europe to popular US destinations such as New York, Miami and Los Angeles.

Each aircraft managed by the company will be maintained in accordance with the operational provisions of Part 129 to ensure safety and regulatory compliance, including meeting flight crew qualification standards and adhering to approved flying requirements and procedures.

Accountable manager Jörg Sabitzer says: “Achieving Part 129 qualification will ensure we continue our growth momentum and maximise the high number of business opportunities that will come from transporting passengers to and around the US.

“We believe that reaching this regulatory milestone is a testament to our quality services, technical innovation and commitment to streamlined operations. Now, even more customers can enjoy the benefits of our proprietary data platform. To continue our upward trajectory is hugely exciting for the team, and we look forward to embarking on a new venture into the US market.”
