Head of business development and sales Jonathan Bird.

Aerocare Aviation Services has appointed Jonathan Bird as its new head of business development and sales. Calling on more than 25 years of experience in the industry, he will help drive the continued growth of the Chester, UK-based business aviation MRO.

Previously working his way up from the position of trainee engineer through to the senior executive leadership team at aircraft component maintenance, manufacturing and design company Aeroco Group, Bird brings a wealth of sector knowledge and insight to his new role.

“I was familiar with Aerocare and its growing reputation within the industry, so I saw this as an incredible opportunity for me to help the company take the next step in its evolution. Having worked with several of the team before in my previous roles, I knew it was going to be the perfect fit for me, and I'm really looking forward to getting stuck in,” says Bird.

With Aerocare recently expanding its capabilities and workshop space, the company has ambitious growth plans in both the business jet market and towards a move to commercial aviation.

Managing director Peter Mankelow adds: “We are delighted to welcome Jonathan to the Aerocare team. It's certainly an exciting time to be joining the business. Jonathan has demonstrated a genuine understanding of what we're looking to achieve, and with his wealth of contacts and established industry relationships, I'm certain he will be a huge benefit for us moving forwards.”
