StandardAero slot programme will manage increased Gogo upgrade demand
Major Gogo MRO partner and platinum-level dealer StandardAero is dedicating incremental labour and floor space through a slot programme for Classic ATG to Avance upgrades.

StandardAero will designate capacity across its entire enterprise to facilitate Gogo Classic ATG (air-to-ground) to Avance system upgrades as Gogo Business Aviation readies for its network migration.

StandardAero is one of world's largest independent MRO providers of aviation services and has ranked among Gogo's top installing and certifying dealers ten times since 2013, having installed more than 455 Gogo systems over the 19 years of its Gogo partnership.

To facilitate impending demand, StandardAero has established a slot programme in which Gogo Classic ATG customers can reserve a scheduled slot for installation at one of the four US-based facilities where it executes Gogo work at Augusta, Georgia; Houston, Texas; Springfield, Illinois; and Van Nuys, California.

“As we balance the increased levels of installation interest with anticipated lack of available floor space capacity, we are committed to minimising maintenance downtime and mitigating interruptions for Gogo operators,” says president of business aviation Tony Brancato. “The slot programme allows customers to rest easy knowing their Gogo inflight connectivity upgrade needs will be taken care of with timely care and attention.”

More than 3,000 business aircraft are installed and flying with Gogo Classic ATG systems (ATG 8000, 5000, 4000, 2000, 1000) on board, and those aircraft are in a unique position to upgrade to Gogo Avance L3 or L5 before the anticipated early 2026 LTE network migration. Gogo Classic ATG operators who upgrade to the Avance platform will see significant improvement in connectivity performance and will be better positioned to meet the future demand of data consumption inflight.

“We're pleased one of our major MRO partners and platinum-level dealers is dedicating incremental labour and floor space through this slot programme for Gogo Classic ATG to Avance upgrades,” says Gogo president and COO Sergio Aguirre. “Our customers can count on the experts at StandardAero to help guide them through the technology transformation ahead of the migration.”

Existing Gogo Classic ATG customers can take advantage of current Gogo promotions, offering rebate opportunities of $25,000 up to $50,000 for upgrading.
